The Galway Hooker is, in every sense, a true Irish pub. While it may not be located in the Emerald Isle, it was built, disassembled and transported from Ireland, and opened in Perth in 2020.
The name “Galway Hooker” refers to a traditional Irish fishing boat from Galway Bay, known for its distinctive design and historical significance in the region’s maritime culture.
Through our venue we have Irish aesthetics including wooden panelling and Gaelic bric-a-brac from Ireland. A boat incorporated into the interior design pays homage to its namesake.
The interior features a live music stage and a prominent Galway Hooker boat, paying homage to the pub’s name, which refers to a type of fishing boat iconic to Galway Bay.
